Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Re: where was Jerry

Bill Graham hosted this party, what makes you think Jerry wasn't backstage in the wings at the party? Particularly the "white room" motif with large white table and white plastic mask nose motifs on the walls?

Martin Scorcese played a major role in this production, the guest list of performers was an essay on the Band's influences. Dylans presence also complicated matters. Commercially, the Dead and the Band never released or recorded any music together, though they did share the bill as headliners a couple of times.

Remember how wasted Neil Young and Van Morrison were? And Clapton getting blown off the stage when soloing with Robbie Robertson!

None the less, highly representative of the period and arguably one of the best "Rock n Roll" concert videos of all time.

Play it loud! well worth the price of admission.
